Getting to Hintertux

By car
From the A12 Inn Valley motorway, take the Zillertal/Wiesing exit onto the B169 to Mayrhofen. From Mayrhofen continue on the Tuxer A-road to Hintertux.
The distance from the motorway exit to Hintertux is 50km. The road from Mayrhofen to Hintertux is open year round. In the case of fresh snow fall, snow chains are mandatory.

By train/bus
From Jenbach train station in Tirol, take the Zillertalbahn (rail or bus) to Mayrhofen. From Mayrhofen take the Austrian Post Bus service from Mayrhofen to Hintertux.

By plane
Direct flights from Paris-Innsbruck, Amsterdam-Innsbruck and London-Innsbruck as well as from various German cities to Innsbruck or Munich. Distance from Innsbruck Airport to Hintertux: approx. 90km. Local taxi companies offer flat rates for airport transfers to Hintertux.
