The Tuxertal in the upper Zillertal is considered to be the most beautiful high valley in the Alps. The road from Mayrhofen gently winds up the mountain to Finkenberg – the beginning of a multifaceted vacation paradise. The Tuxertal is divided into 2 communities over a length of around 17 km: Finkenberg and Tux.
The gigantic Hintertux Glacier rises up at the end of the Tuxertal. It’s not without good reason that the Tuxertal is nicknamed "the green glacier valley". With an elevation from 850 m to 3,250 m, it is heaven on earth in summer as well as winter. All kinds of activities are possible, and boredom is a foreign concept here.
