The Hintertux Glacier is right outside our hotel door and is considered the best glacier skiing area in the world! The glacier offers beginners and experienced skiers as well as snowboarders 59 km of diverse slopes in all difficulty levels.
Deep snow fans can look forward to gorgeous freeride runs in the Lärmstange area. Snowboarders and freestylers appreciate the year-round freestyle opportunities in the Bretterpark Hintertux at an elevation of 3,200 m or the beginner-friendly Familypark Hintertux.

The "Gletscherrunde" tour
The "Gletscherrunde" tour is a wonderful tour through the Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000. Tenacious athletes can conquer15,000 vertical meters and around 60 km of slopes (from blue to black) in one day. One of the highlights is the 7 km long valley run, “Schwarze Pfanne”, which leads directly into the town center of Hintertux. How many vertical meters did you conquer on your tour?
Good - Better - Betterpark Hintertux
The Betterpark Hintertux is one of the highest freestyle spots in Austriaand is among the best snow parks in the Alpine region. The park entrance is at an elevation of 3,200 m at the foot of the mighty local mountain, the Olperer, and is a popular meeting point for the local and international scene. In autumn, it is the first snow park to open in Ausrtia and offers snowboarders and freestyle skiers optimal training conditions to prepare for the upcoming competition season.
Family fun in Hintertux
The Familypark Hintertux is a family-oriented fun park on the glacier. Located at an elevation of 2,100 m on the Sommerberg, the family park is ideal for those first attempts on snowboard or freestyle skis. The diverse park is perfect for rookies, families, and ski schools and guarantees ideal conditions for improving your timing and tricks. Open from December to April.
